Low carbon: consuming goods and services
Cafes and restaurants using locally sourced food:

- Cornerstone Cafe, St John's Church, 3 Lothian Road
- The Lot, 4 Grassmarket, Old Town is a good value, Christian cafe with locally sourced food.
- urbanangel, Hanover Street, New Town says it sources the best natural ingredients and pays a fair price to all of their suppliers, using only the best local, organic, free-range and fairly traded produce available.
- Avoid the big chain cafes which suck the lifeblood out of local communities and use the locally-owned and run places. You'll find plenty of inspiration with cafes listed by type at The List.
